The Toolkit on Preservation, drafted at the request of IFLA, ICA, and ICOM by the WIPO Secretariat, provides a roadmap for laws that allow libraries, archives, and museum professionals to preserve our cultural heritage in today’s world.
As climate change, human conflict, and technological obsolescence continue to threaten our collections, it is increasingly urgent for copyright laws to support — rather than hinder — the copying needed to safeguard our cultural heritage. The Toolkit on Preservation helps both to evaluate your current copyright laws, and explore what options there could be in future reform to achieve this goal. (Source: ICOM)
ICOM requests that participants register in advance for the webinar HERE.
This webinar will be recorded and shared on the IFLA YouTube channel.
