At its core, effective advocacy is storytelling — and the stories of your institution’s impact are the most powerful tools you have when engaging policymakers.
Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026
Time: 1 – 2 p.m. ET
Location: Online
From ASTC:
In this one-hour, hands-on workshop, we’ll focus on translating your institutional impact into a compelling advocacy narrative. Participants will work through a practical template to connect their real-world examples to field-wide priorities, relevant data, and concrete policy asks that resonate with lawmakers. You’ll leave with clearer stories aligned with advocacy-oriented messages, stronger confidence in your policy asks, and a foundation you can use in meetings, letters, and other outreach throughout the year.
Please note that the specific advocacy messages and asks are centered on a U.S. context, but anyone is welcome at this webinar because refining your impact story and policy asks is valuable in any context.
