Time: 3 – 4:15 p.m. ET
Location: Online
Price: $24 members, $45 non-members

From AASLH:

We will explore how public historians can engage the public about the cultural and socioeconomic reasons for past choices that have contributed to climate change. As stewards of heritage sites and collections, we can remind visitors of our past practices and values regarding energy production and use. Historic places can inspire different ways of thinking about transitioning to different energy sources while challenging the idea that high energy use equates with progress. In addition to the current calls for economic and policy changes, Glaser will show how cultural institutions can identify ways to interpret new stories about energy through historic places and resources.
